Spooner´s from Germany in close up.
Who are you, where do you live and how old are you?
I'm Nadine, 25years old and come from Berlin - Germany.
Assistent Medical Technican (Hope ist the right translation)
Hobbies/interests besides mice?
I'm breeding syrian hamsters too. And i have three dogs (Saluki-hybrid 16 years old, miniature schnauzer hybrid 2 years old and giant schnauzer 6 months old). With them
(the two younger dogs) I make some sports, like agility
and I want start with the giant in ipo (tracking, obidience, protection).
Five words that describe you!
Öhm... nice, friendly, humorous, directly, realist
Breeding prefix and why you chose that prefix:
„Spooner's"... My boyfriends name is something like the german word for Spooner's ;)
Is your stud registered in a fancy mouse society?
Yes. German Club „DMRM e.V."
When did you start breeding mice?
2003 i start with breeding fancy mice. Some years before (in the 90s) i had breed mice too, but not really serious.
When did you get your first mouse
Uff... I think i was around 9 or 10 years old.
Which is the main variety that you breed?
Advantages and disadvantages with that variety.
Black, really black is a beautyful colour, but you see every lighter or red hair, every white nail and it's diffficult to get a good type and size ;)
How many mice do you have?
Oh, i don't know the real number of my mice. But i have a big stud, because i try to make my own strain, with not so many mice from other breeders (because it's difficult to find good mice).
Around 150 mice it could be.
Wich is your favourite mouse?
At the moment? Hmm, difficult to decide that.
I think a old silver grey tan male Spooner's Komet 
How many litters do you breed in a year?
Do you write a pedigree and/or register the mice you breed?
Yes, I write pedigrees. I have a good program for that.
Do you name the mice/litters in any specific order (theme, alfabet)?
What do you think is demanded by a mouse breeder? Do you have any advice to forthcoming(?) breeders?
They should have enough space (the best is an axtra room for mice) and they should know, that many mice(males) smell good *grin*
And to breed ist not easy and you should be critical with all your mice and all your actings.
What plans do you have for the future?
Blacks: to keep their look like no and maybe to get them some better
Blue: I'm not sure if i stop them maybe...- so, no special plans now.
Piebald: To get better markings...
Resessive Red and Sable: To get all things better ;)
Silver Grey: Maybe i stop them to and give them to other bredders -so, no plans now.
Is there anything you want to improve?
Yes, many things ;) But the the first ist better vitality and that tumors comes not so early
Hmm.. i have no motto ;)
Tell us about your mousery
The mice live in a seperate room (with hamsters). I feed i mixture from differnt seeds (for budgies and other birds), pellets, herbs, dogfood, mealworms, horsesnacks, salats, vegetables... I use mainly laboratoy-cages...
Can you tell us something about the Mice Clubs, Shows, Breeders and so on in the Germany?
We have only one club for mice-breeders (and bredders from other rodents, like hamsters, rats,...) in Germany: DMRM e.V. We have around 50 member and 14 breeders now, but some are inactive now. Now we have around 3 shows per years and some meetings, on a show we have around 50 (little show) till 150 mice. The middle age of our breeder, the most are between 20 and 30 years old. We have two active judges for show-class now (I'm one of them) and two trainees now.
