Well you can always look at a corpse (if you find/kill or catch one - in a deadly trap that is - of the tail monsters) and count...

Well, it´s easy for us people who know´s the difference to say, but actually very few people "out there" can tell the difference between mice and rats.

For instance it´s very rare that rats come in to our houses. Wild rats doesn´t like humans and avoid as much as possible to go near us. Of course they will be there the food is, but thats mostly outside our homes, in the garbage can, outside the restaurante/snack bars and so on... and when we are asleep.

Mice (mus musculus), however, doesn´t care much for humans. We don´t scare them much and we can often see them running across the floor in our homes. They wanna be where it´s varm and gives lots of food. Kitchen is a good place. They love to make nest in dishwasher insulation for instance... :-D

On attics it´s often the forrest mouse (apodemus). They don´t search human companion as much for food but shelter during cold winter.

_Hope my English was easy to understand... I´m to lazy to check spellings and stuff..._

jodå jag förstår vad du menar :)

sant, att folk inte ser skillnad på råttor och möss är för mig grekiska då jag tycker det är jätteuppenbart, men folk är ju inte heller intresserade av att lära sig om det utan kallar bara allt för råttor. vi har inte haft möss men däremot sorkar i källaren, har hört dom nån gång ibland. Fångade in dom och släppte ut dom i skogen utanför huset.

true, the fact that people can't see the differens between rats and mica are to me greek, though I think it's superobvious, but people aren't interested in learning so they just call everyting rats. We have never had mice or rats but we have had field-mice in our basement, heard them sometimes. I used to catch them and let them out in the forest next to our house.
