# Pet type
Author: Grodan

In Sweden we call the smaller mice "Swedish type" - since it´s more alike the wild mouse than the English Show mouse. But when I´m talking to people in other contries I say "Pet type". Don´t know if it´s correct, but everyone seams to understand...

I´ve noticed that "Pet type" also is called "Pet Shop Mice"...

Most mice in the Swedish Mouse Club are a mixed type between English Show Mouse and Swedish/Pet Mouse. Sometimes we don´t even know if they are English or Swedish type...

Over here (in Holland) they are called "pet shop type", maybe also "pet type". Most of us don't use the word English mice anymore. Instead we say show type. For my mice I say good type or not so good type, and small or large. Sometimes a mouse can be small but good type (good proportions, large eyes and ears), and sometimes they are large but a bit fat with tiny ears (so that's not so good type).
