elefanter är inte rädda för just möss, de är egentligen rädda för ormar! Mössen stryker med för att de är små, får gräs odl att röra sig och elefanten ser inte att det är en mus, utan att det är något litet som rör sig XD Alltså är de rädda för, ja det som rör sig som de inte kan se benen på i princip :P

Detta är vad jag fått lära mig i alla fall :)

lite coolt ändå att så stora djur blir rädda för så små djur som en mus eller orm, feletanterna kan ju liksom bara ställa en fot på det lilla odjuret så är problemet ur vägen!

_it's pretty cool how big elephants really back away from a small animal like snake or mouse when the__y could just step on the little beast and the "problem" would be gone!_

Elephants are not afraid of mice exactly, they are really scared of snakes! The mice goes along because they are small and cause the grass to move, and the elephant do not see that there is a mouse, but that it is something small moving XD So what they are afraid of, it is that something moves that they can not see the legs of the principle: P

There is no reason for an elephant to be scared of mice, so I definitly think it's a false myth. And although snakepoison could kill an elephant, a snake could never bite through their hide or eat it which lead me to believe that elephants have no real reason to fear snakes either.

The thing about big creatures is that sudden movements often startle them and triggers their flight instinct. It doesn't mean it's connected with fear of the startling object itself.
