My first mouse was an albino, pew, shorthair doe with the name Athena! I got her from a friend 1983 (Anne-Lee Kleveborn, born Berglund).

Athena was a gentle, cuddle and very tame! She lived in a rebuilt plastic box for refrigerator, with drilled holes for air, about the size of a laboratory cage (so it would be legal today when you think about the size). Rather unpractical, because it went smelly quick. She sat on ordinary chip and I had to change in cage all time. Food I gave her the same as the pony and the rabbits, seed mixture.

My first mouse became about 1,5 year of age. She got an quick growing tumour and had to sleep in.

I remember her with love! If I never meet her I would never got mice later on - because in between Athena and the Morakulla-mice there was a mean, nervous och aggressive litle mouse for a couple of weeks… it could have destroyed my love for mouse for ever!
