Hammock?
Do you use hammock for your mice?
I use hammocks. Make them from soft material (fleece) with no thread - so they can´t get tangled in it) and hang up with clips used for curtains. In cages with no bar on top there´s some problem to put in a hammock but with some fantasy it´ll work.

I have a hammock for my girls but stopped using them for the boys since they pee in them too much and it really stinks. I wish there was some sort of plastic fabric that wouln't absorb the stench so much. My fleece hammocks stink even afte I've washed them /=

I use my old socks :D i mean the fluffy, soft kind you wear on sunday mornings…. The girls loves them since i out them on the bars of my Duna cage (yes the roof that i never close ;) )…. When i clean the cage i just put them in the washing machine. I like the lower kind the best and i put them up with the kind off plastic/metallic clippers you have for plastic bread bags and plastic bags you have in the freezer. Works awsome :D
Yes, they pee in them. But you can wash them or throw them away. I throw mine away once a week or every other week.
No, I don't use hammocks for my girls. I don't know how to put them up in a tank

Mvh Stephanie

I use socks and towels that I cut to pieces..
System overload =p
I dont have to cut the socks anymore… I just put the "clip" through the fabric and then they stick :P And the girls love to lay in the "cocoons" because i think thats a better word then hammock ;)
I cut off the tip of the toe on the socks so that they can get out that way.. But they never do they always climp the whole way up and jump down again.. =/
#4 I´ve used some "constructions things" in tanks (aquariums and terrariums). The best thing I had in a terrarium was a hammock for fruits. Unfortunatly it was made of wood and I had to throw it away when my mice got sick.
#8 cute!
#1This product might fit your standards, or demands! Worthless for ferret owners, but it could perhaps be something for you?

I have been thinking a lot on what "hängmatta" is called in english, and now i finally know, thanks:D
In a cage or tank with no bars above, you can use a old small cage (as we "cagecollectors" always seem to have laying around) either a whole one if it fits, or break it and make a cozy place in the tank and use it to hang hammocks and other things the mice might enjoy.
#10 I've had that kind but for me it is a bit too expensive as it didn't hold very long. I buy cheap fleeceblankets on IKEA for 15 SEK each and cut out pieces and when they smell I throw them away.
I use hammocks occasionally, but they just get gnawed down so they don't get hammocks very often :P

I had one, but found it too much work cleaning
. Maybe I will try the idea of the old socks.
